Jim at East Delaware River Roasting

My name is Jim. I've always loved coffee. And now I love to roast coffee.

Each batch is individually roasted in the Catskill Mountains, the East Branch of the Delaware River runs through our village in Margaretville New York.

I roast and package coffee in small batches -- and then to get it in your hands as quickly as possible -- so that you can enjoy the FRESHEST coffee.

Our Mission

Coffee provides a means of living for millions of people on earth. It is one of the most valuable commodities exported by developing countries.

Non-coffee farms in the United States (and most of the world) went from being small and family to larger families, then to businesses, and then large businesses. Now these farms are mostly owned by stockholders—not a bad system, but some people who work very hard cannot afford to be stockholders. This is where we come in.

Green Coffee Beans

The coffee farms have remained small and local in many cases. So, I can purchase beans from a single farm through a single supplier who pays a fair price to the farmer every time. When a farming family is paid $1.50 for a pound of green coffee, their kids have to work with the family to produce the beans. When the same family is paid $2.15, they can hire someone locally to help, and their kids can go to school. The world is better.

I roast coffee and solve some of my first-world problems. You drink coffee and solve the world's problems.

I appreciate your business.
